I really like Chinese Pistache, but mountain ashe is also nice http://www.rook.org/earl/bwca/nature/tre es/sorbusam.html , or maybe a Japanese maple. http://www.oplin.lib.oh.us/tree/fact%20p ages/maple_japanese/maple_japanese.html
I don't want anything too enormous; I'd like a tree that doesn't get more than 25 to 30 feet tall.

Heat-loving plants get high marks
KUSA - After weeks of report-breaking temperatures, your patio or deck can still look fresh and gorgeous if you planted heat-loving plants.
If your container plantings didn't business out as well as they might have, consider using more heat-tolerant plants next year.
Some of my favorite container plants that look their most qualified in hot weather include New Zealand flax, lantana, impatiens and many types of succulents.
Some of Proctor's Apprentices have their own favorite excitement-lovers.
Julianna writes,"Tall verbena is a pretty way to add some height to your containers. It can also be called the "Yea Flower", because the stems and flowers variety the shape of someone in a cheering pose with raised hands. The parsimonious purple flowers of this plant attract butterflies and bees."
She continues, saying, "Flowering maple is also a stimulation tolerant plant that adds beauty to your summer patio. The flowering maple is a associate of the hibiscus family and has beautiful hibiscus-shaped flowers in many smashing shades."
