The canopy to the campavan i just bought is in terrable condition with mould,ihave gurneyed off and dried it out but still alot of stains still remain ,is there some thing i can paint it with to improve and protect it.
I have a friend of mine that owns a 76' vw westy and we replaced the poptop canvas on it. The first thing you can do to help out protection against mold and moisture is buy some scotch guard the kind that dupont makes and spray it down completly....

It's getting too hard to find replacements and the metal on the newer ones is to light so if I could get a pattern to make a new 2 tiered top, I would be set for the summer.

I am trying to locate a place where I can buy a 10x20 canopy metal or canvas with metal poles for around $600.00. This is only going to be used for about 6 months as a shelter to wash vehicles.
