Anybody know where to have my home awning cleaned ?
I have a power washer, but the awning comes over my deck and I can't get a proper angle. I also don't want to bring my power washer onto a ladder.
call some equipment rental places and see if they have scaffolding, it is used in construction as a rasied platform. they can show you how to set it up and you can put the power washer on it safely, just be careful on the wet boards

What is the best way to clean an awning?
It is a vynal awning on a trailer and it is covered in black dirt from my guess tree debris. I have tried pressure washing and it didn't work. Is there some type of spray cleaner that will loosen the dirt first? If so can you tell me what it is and how to clean it. Please.
Use a hose end sprayer and get some type of liquid soap. They make a special RV soap from Walmart. Wash it down with the hose and soap. Then get a long handle scrub brush. Like the ones to clean a deck from Home Depot and scrub the Awning and then with fresh water from hose rinse it all down, Good luck

I can't power wash because the strength of the water can possibly damage the awning.
What is a good cleaning solution and application to use to remove dirt and mildew? I don't need to take it down, I have good access from a ladder.
try Windex Outdoor multisurface. You attach it to your hose and spray
I'm not sure how it will do on mildew. The only thing I know to get rid of mildew is chlorine bleach.

It is a synthetic cloth.
You need to know how some fabric react to different chemicals so as not to damage it. Even more so-called awning cleaners never even put the right type of sealer on the awning, that if they seal it at all.

Check the awning's construction, including type of frame and presence of electrical wiring or other safety hazards. What about accessibility? Are special ladder or scaffolding necessary, or just sprayer extensions? Consider the amount of damage sustained.
Determine the type of material used, and test it with the strongest solutions you may be required to apply. Consider other surfaces that might be affected by awning cleaning, and plan to protect those surfaces.
Pretreatment - After testing for colorfastness, apply appropriate cleaning solutions. For light-to-moderate smoke damage and preexisting contamination, simply use a general purpose wall-washing or pressure cleaning compound.
For surfaces with heavy preexisting contamination, consider one percent chlorine bleach/detergent: one part household bleach mixed with four parts non-ammoniated, diluted pressure washing solution. This is particularly important when marginally soluble, preexisting mold or oxidized, yellowed oils are coating the surface.
Place appropriate solution in a pump sprayer, and apply it liberally to each awning or to a section of a large awning. The solution the must be agitated for uniform distribution and soil suspension.
Cleaning - After three to five minutes of dwell time, begin pressure-cleaning the awning from bottom to top. Cleaning in this progression enables the restorer to maintain detergent solutions at uniform concentrations as the effect of heat and pressure (500-1000 psi) is applied.
Once all soil has been suspended and removed by pressure cleaning from bottom to top, the entire awning should be final rinsed from top to bottom. Of course thorough rinsing of all surrounding surfaces and vegetation follows awning cleaning. When the awning is dry, carefully evaluate the results of your efforts and reclean as indicated.
